Generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR): This step requires you to create a CSR, which is a file containing your website’s encryption details. 

Submit the CSR: Provide the CSR file to your SSL Certificate provider during the activation process. This allows them to validate your information and issue the SSL Certificate. 

Complete the validation process: The SSL Certificate provider will validate your domain ownership and other details. 

Receive and install the SSL certificate: After validation, you’ll receive SSL Certificate files. Follow instructions from your web hosting or SSL provider to install it on your server. 

Configure your website: Update your website’s configuration to use HTTPS instead of HTTP.

If you have multiple subdomains, a Wildcard SSL certificate can cover all of them (e.g., *.example.com covers shop.example.com, www.example.com, and more). Alternatively, a UCC SSL Certificate can secure various subdomains, unique domain names, and websites (e.g., www.example.com, mail.example.com, and www.shopexample.com).
