Website and Database Backup on Xcitium

1. Website Backup Setup on Xcitium
The Website Details screen is where you connect your website files to Xcitium Backup.

Step 1: Click on Settings > Website Details.

 

Step 2: Confirm the Website URL is correct.
Example: yourdomain.com

Step 3: Select the Connection Type.

Step 4: Enter the Hostname, Username and Password of your FTP account.

Step 5: Confirm the Port.
For FTP, the default port is 21

Step 6: Enter the Root Directory.
Example: /public_html, or /

Step 7: Click Test Connection to check whether Xcitium can connect to your website files


2. Database Backup Setup on Xcitium
The Database Options screen is where you connect your website database to Xcitium Backup.

Step 1: Click on Settings > Database Options.

 

Step 2: Select the Database Type.
Example: MySQL

Step 3: Enter the Database Host.

Step 4: Confirm the Port.
For MySQL, the default port is 3306

Step 5: Enter the Database Name, Username and Password.

Step 6: Click Test Connection to check whether Xcitium can connect to your database.

3. Scheduling Backups on Xcitium

Step 1: Navigate to Schedule.

 

Step 2: Select the Backup Frequency and Backup Start Time.
Keep Disable Schedule Backup turned off

Step 3: Click Save to apply the schedule.
