Webmail Overview
Reading and Managing Emails
Summary: This article explains how to read, manage, and organize emails using webmail. It covers basic actions such as composing, replying, forwarding, deleting, archiving, and marking emails as read or unread.
Accessing Your Inbox
When you log in to webmail, your Inbox is displayed by default. To read an email, click on the email subject. The selected email will be highlighted and the full message will open on the screen.
- Bold emails indicate new or unread messages.
- Unbold emails indicate messages that have already been read.
- Click on a folder name to view emails stored in that folder.
Email Action Buttons
The following options are available to manage your emails:
- Compose – Create and send a new email.
- Reply – Respond to the sender of the selected email.
- Reply All – Reply to all recipients included in the email.
- Forward – Send the email to another recipient.
- Delete – Move the email to the Trash folder.
- Set Colour – Assign a color to emails for easier identification.
- Archive – Store emails for future reference.
- Actions – Perform bulk actions such as marking emails as read or unread.
Note: You can return to the current folder at any time by clicking the Back button or selecting the folder from the email navigation panel.
Marking Emails as Read or Unread
You can manage one or multiple emails using the Actions menu (three parallel lines icon). After selecting the emails, choose from the options below:
- Mark as Read / Unread – Change the read status of emails.
- Move / Copy – Move or copy emails to another folder.
- Print – Print the selected email.
- Save as File – Download the email to your local system.
- View Source – View the email headers and source details.
- Reminder – Set reminders to review emails later.
- Add to Portal – Add important emails to the Webmail Portal.
