How to Add or Edit DNS Records under the cPanel DNS Zone Manager when the Domain is Pointed to Linux Shared Hosting Nameservers

When a domain is pointed to the nameservers linked to our Linux Shared Hosting plans, the DNS records need to be added under the DNS Zone Manager available in cPanel.

To add or edit DNS records under your cPanel DNS panel, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your BigRock account using the following link: https://myorders.bigrock.in/dashboard
  2. Go to the Orders section and click on the domain name associated with the hosting plan where the domain is hosted.
  3. If multiple orders exist for the same domain name, click on the My Hosting section of the relevant order to access the hosting details.
  4. Click on the Go to cPanel option to access your hosting cPanel.

  5. Under cPanel, navigate to the Zone Editor option.

  6. Click on the Manage option for the domain for which you want to add or edit DNS records.

  7. To add a record, click on the Add Record dropdown and select the record type you wish to add.

  8. To edit a record, click on the Edit option next to the record you want to modify. You can filter records by type using the filter options available.

  9. Click on Save Record after adding or editing the required DNS record.
  10. To delete a record, click on the Delete option next to the record you want to remove.

Please note that DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate globally. However, in most cases, the changes are visible within 6–8 hours.
