Domain Registration & Initial Email
After a .IN or .BHARAT domain is registered, renewed, modified, moved, or transferred, a verification process is automatically initiated. Completing this verification is mandatory. Please ensure that all domain contact details such as Name, Company Name, Email ID, Contact Number, and Address are accurate and up to date.

eKYC Process: 

1.  Digio sends the eKYC link to your registrant mobile number via WhatsApp (and SMS). Tap on 'Click here' to begin the verification process. 

2.  You will be redirected to the Digio platform to authenticate your mobile number, where a 6-digit security code is sent to the phone number and remains valid for 10 minutes.

3.  After phone authentication, Digio presents the eKYC consent screen. You must agree to authorize access to your Aadhaar details via DigiLocker. Both checkboxes must be selected before proceeding. 

4.  Once both consent checkboxes are checked, the 'Submit' button becomes active.

5.  Digio redirects you to the DigiLocker portal. You are shown a consent screen authorizing Digio to securely pull documents from DigiLocker and share them with Newfold. You need to check the authorization box and clicks 'Proceed'. 

6.  New DigiLocker users are prompted to sign up by entering their 12-digit Aadhaar number. DigiLocker uses this to enable authentic document access. Existing users are taken directly to the PIN/OTP login screen.

7.  UIDAI sends a temporary OTP to the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar. You need to the OTP within 10 minutes to verify their identity and proceed. 

8.  If you are already registered with DigiLocker are prompted to enter their 6-digit Security PIN for two-factor authentication. 

9.  You are shown the list of documents available in their DigiLocker account (Aadhaar Card, PAN, Driving License). For eKYC, the Aadhaar Card must be selected. Review the consent validity date and purpose (KYC), then click 'Allow' to share the document with Digio.

10. DigiLocker processes the document share request and returns the status to Digio. Once Digio confirms the KYC,  you will see a 'KYC process completed' confirmation screen and may close the window. 

Email Verification Process: 

An email will be sent to your registrant email ID with a unique link to verify the email address.  You need to Click on the link to verify the registrant email ID. 

Points to remember:

• Both email verification and eKYC is mandatory. 
• Only Aadhar is accepted for eKYC
• If verification remains incomplete within 15 days, your domain will be suspended as per NIXI regulations until you complete the required steps. 
• Reminders are sent every 5 days until you complete both verifications 
• Use the Domain order section in your Customer Control Panel to retrigger the verification process.
